For Varvaglione 12 e mezzo only the best grapes were harvested for this pure Negroamaro wine of exceptional elegance.
After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the cellar. Here they are carefully sorted and ground. Fermentation in small wood at a controlled temperature follows. After fermentation, it is aged for another 6 months in American oak barriques.
In the glass, Varvaglione's 12 ° Mezzo Negroamaro del Salento has a brilliantly shimmering color. The nose of this Varvaglione red wine presents all kinds of black cherries, plums, shaded morals, mulberries and plums. Spices of gingerbread, bitter chocolate and oak wood are also added.
Light and complex, this red wine is velvety on the palate. In the finish, this well-preserved Apulian red wine is finally inspired with considerable length.
It is perfect as an accompanying wine with roasted veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, plum sauce or spicy curry with lamb.
