The Varvaglione winery produces the Primitivo 12 e Mezzo wine: it is a well-structured red wine with a robust sip, capable of narrating the intensity of a vine that from a simple blending grape has become one of the most appreciated in the international wine scene. The merit of the winery was to firmly believe in the infinite potential of this grape that has been able to change over time by combining the typical robustness with the sweetness given by the warm sun of Puglia.
The elegance of Primitivo "12 e Mezzo" makes its appearance already in the glass which is coated with an intense ruby red color. The olfactory bouquet is composed of fruity notes where echoes of ripe red fruit, cherry jam and the unmistakable vanilla note given by the passage in barrique are recognizable. On the palate it is a well structured, rich and persistent wine. It is excellent in combination with aged cheeses, pasta and pizza.
