Donna Cora Satèn Franciacorta 75 cl Marchese Antinori
In 1905 the Marquis Niccolò Antinori began producing the classic method sparkling wine "Nature" and in 1995 90 years of life were celebrated. To underline the experience and the skill reached by the Marchesi Antinori in this difficult and particular production, a small quantity of cuvée was produced, result of a very careful selection of the best grapes available and of a particular assemblage. The name given to this celebratory selection was "Donna Cora", by Donna Cora degli Antinori, a lady with a brilliant personality who lived in the early twentieth century. This special production was repeated in 2005, for the centenary of the production of Bollicine in the Antinori house. Donna Cora sparkling wine rests in the cellar at a controlled temperature for 48 months, to complete its taste evolution. After the "dégorgement", the bottles rest for another 3 months. The wine has an intense yellow color, with a fine and dense perlage. It has a scent of bread crust and vanilla, with hints of ripe fruit.
