The Manteca,  certainly does not mean anything. Let me explain what it is. The name "Manteca" comes from the Spanish word meaning precisely "butter" .  The Manteca is a fresh smoked cheese stuffed with soft and creamy butter, with its great adaptability to almost all types of dishes. The Manteca is used for appetizers, first and second courses. Perfect if served with home made bread.

HISTORY

The production of Manteca was born from the need to preserve the butter until it had to be consumed. "Manteca" means "butter" in Spanish. From a necessity (as with burrata) and it created a unique and much appreciated for the simplicity and completeness in flavor.
