This label, which was one of the first bottles of Italian rosé to make itself known in the world, is an expression of great elegance and refinement and is obtained from a blend of Negramaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce grapes in a small percentage. The vines, which have an average age of about 50 years, are trained as saplings and are grown, paying great attention and care, on soils with soils characterized by a mixture of clay and silt. The winery, located in the municipality of Salice Salentino not far from the marvelous Lecce, has an ancient history dating back to the mid-seventeenth century.
The “Five Roses Anniversario” is a cru of the best grapes, which are carefully selected for the production of this exclusive version. The best bunches, generally harvested towards the second half of August, are then taken to the cellar for crushing and destemming and for a short cold maceration, at a temperature between 7 and 10 ° C, which allows the extraction of aromatic properties and color. contained in the skins. We then proceed to the first pressing from which the flower must is obtained and the alcoholic fermentation of the latter in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature for a few weeks. The wine is then aged in steel for about a month after which it is bottled and remains for another month to refine in the bottle before being sold. It is recommended with risotto, fish-based dishes and white meats.
Color: very bright coral pink.
Bouquet: rich, floral and fruity, with hints of rose petals, small red fruits, black cherries and aromatic herbs.
Taste: fresh, savory, elegant and balanced, with aromas of fruit and wild herbs.
