Primitivo Salento I.G.T. Torcicoda Tormaresca

The primitive Torcicoda born exclusively from primitive vineyards located in the Tenuta Maìme di S.Pietro Vernotico. It is characterized by an intense ruby ​​red color with fruity hints of cherries, strawberries and licorice, enriched by pleasant spicy notes. Tasting it is very rich closing with a finish of good persistence on the fruit.

WINE

The grapes were harvested as soon as overmath during the first week of September. After crushing, maceration, managed with pumping and soft removal, was carried out for 15 days in stainless steel tanks. During this phase, the wines completed the alcoholic fermentation at a temperature no higher than 26 ° C. After the racking, the wine made malolactic fermentation directly in French and Hungarian oak barrels, where it was elevated for about 10 months. A further period of 8 months of aging in bottle was followed before being placed on the market.

PAIRINGS

Perfect to accompany pasta with meat sauce, it is ideal with red meat, wet and roasted meat.
