The Vertigo wine signed by Livio Felluga is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the combination of vines in Vertigo has a dual function: on the one hand it is a sort of continuity between the territory of Friuli and the rest of the world, on the other it gives to the wine balance and complexity, which represent a lot about its structure.

The harvest takes place around the first ten days of October and is completely manual. The grapes are de-stemmed and then pressed, while the fermentation in steel tanks takes place with maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature. The process lasts about three weeks, with frequent pumping over to extract the scents and color. The subsequent maturation takes place in steel and small French oak barrels for a year, followed by a four-month refinement in the bottle.

Impenetrable dark ruby ​​color, opens to the nose with equally dark notes of wild berries in jam, dried plum and cinnamon, sweet tobacco, coffee and burnt wood. On the palate it is full and structured, tasty, with an intense tannic texture and a long almond persistence.

For the whole meal, it goes well with savory first courses, such as meat sauce, second courses of meat, roast beef and pork, medium-aged cheeses.
