Product Details

This Barolo di Prunotto comes from a native red grape variety, Nebbiolo, which will be a robust and austere red.

Nebbiolo grapes are left to macerate for 15 days at a maximum temperature of 30 ° C. Following the malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in French oak barrels and, to a lesser extent, in second passage barriques for 24 months. After bottling, the wine remains to refine for another 12 months in the cellars of Prunotto.

The Prunotto Barolo wine reveals itself to the eye with a very intense color, which recalls the shade of garnet. The nose is very satisfying, orchestrated on engaging notes where flowers and fruit stand out as protagonists, helped also thanks to light spicy nuances. On the palate it is full-bodied, crisp, with an energetic and vigorous sip, at times austere thanks to the evident tannic texture; ends with a persistent finish, characterized by a slightly bitter aftertaste.

The perfect red with truffle noodles, first courses with meat sauce, mixed boiled meats, courses based on red meats and game such as an excellent tagliata di fassona and braised veal shank.
