Product Details

Private collection of the Varvaglione winery contains the winemaking excellences of the winery, especially the historical wines. This wine is made exclusively from Primitivo di Manduria grapes, a native vine of Puglia.

The harvest is done by hand and the bunches are selected already in the vineyard and immediately taken to the cellar to preserve their organoleptic properties. The vinification process then begins, which starts with a maceration at a controlled temperature and continues with the malolactic fermentation. The refinement, on the other hand, takes place in French oak barrels and American barriques, where the wine rests for at least 14 months before being bottled and put on the market.

Dense and deep ruby red in the glass. Ample and varied olfactory profile, characterized by notes of red fruit in jam, black pepper, cinnamon, tobacco and distinct hints of licorice. Full-bodied, full-bodied and balanced in sensations. Persistent, savory and balsamic on the finish.

The important red, to be combined with red meats, game and long-aged cheeses.
