Podere 29 has the vineyard in Borgo Tressanti in the geographical district called Daunia or Agro di Cerignola, in the municipality of Cerignola. The soil is sandy, and the training system is the spurred cordon. The age of the vineyard is 14 years. The sixth plant provides for 4,000 plants per hectare. The yield per hectare is 90 quintals. The proximity to the sea brings considerable benefits, both for the type of sandy and extremely mineral soil, and for the ventilation of the clusters kissed by the sea breezes, so as to make the environment naturally hostile to the presence of parasites. The harvest, carried out in the early hours of the morning, begins at the end of September. After a partial contact with the skins, the latter are eliminated and alcoholic fermentation begins in stainless steel containers. After at least 3 months in the bottle it arrives on the market. Cherry pink color. The nose has aromas of red currant, grenadine and violet petals. Even cherries and sour cherries stand out among the notes of the various fruits that face luxuriantly. The quality of the aromas is good with extreme cleanliness overall. On the palate it envelops the mouth with good creaminess, while the acidity and minerality give the structure a good stiffness. In the retro olfaction aromas of flowers and aromatic herbs arrive. Particularly suitable as an aperitif, excellent for pairing with traditional seafood such as risotto with seafood and grilled fish or shellfish, interesting the combination with fresh and unseasoned cheeses.
