- Production area: the vineyards extend in the Municipality of Capestrano at 450 m a.s.l. within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. The area is characterized by high temperature ranges that preserve acidity and improve the synthesis of aromas. The soil, of pebbly-sandy matrix, is ideal for giving minerality and flavor to the wines.
- Characteristics of the variety: Montepulciano is a native Abruzzese variety. If vinified in white, it gives marked notes of small red fruits; only if grown in fresh areas is it able to preserve acidity.
- Vineyard: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, density of 5200 vines / ha, yield of 120 q / ha, mechanical harvest in the first ten days of October.
- Vinification: in white: cryomaceration at 8 ° C for 12 - 18 hours, soft pressing and subsequent static decantation. Fermentation in steel with selected yeasts at a low temperature of 14 - 16 ° C.
- Aging: 2 in steel and 3 months in the bottle. To be stored at 16 - 18 ° C and consumed preferably within 18 months of the harvest.
- Sensory analysis: bright cherry pink. Fine bouquet of cherry, raspberry and wild berries. Excellent acidity and flavor with the right softness. Rosehip aftertaste.
- Serving method: leave the wine to rest for at least 10 days after arrival. It should be served in medium-sized glasses with flared edges at a temperature of 12 ° C.
