Product Details

Cantina di Venosa is one of the most renowned wineries in the South, and is the largest producer of Aglianico grapes.

Denomination: IGP.
Production area: Basilicata.
Grape variety: 100% Aglianico.
Vineyard training type and average density per hectare: Espalier with about 3,500 plants.
Age of the vines: 10 - 20 years.
Production per Ha: 8 - 10 Ton.
Altitude of the vineyards: 400 - 550 meters.
Harvest period: from 10 to 30 October.
Harvest method: selection of the grapes, harvested by hand in the early hours of the morning and immediate transport of the same to the cellar.
Production technique: pressing and destemming of the grapes, draining and separation of the must after about 12 hours, decanting and fermentation at a controlled temperature from 15 ° to 18 ° C. It should be served at a temperature of about 12 ° C.
