Tignanello Antinori 75cl

Tignanello is now a symbol wine, known and appreciated all over the world and capable of surprising every vintage, for rigour, classicism and elegance. The 2020 harvest was characterized by regular climatic conditions, with a cold winter and low rainfall, a cool and rainy spring and a summer without thermal peaks; at the end of August and during the weeks preceding the harvest the climate was optimal, allowing the perfect ripening of all the grapes cultivated in the famous Tignanello vineyard. The recipe does not change: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are processed separately, all three carry out malolactic fermentation and refine, in a first phase, in French and Hungarian oak barrels, both new and second pass, for 14-16 months; after an initial aging in separate batches, the wines are assembled to complete their evolution in wood. The Tignanello then aged for a further 12 months in bottle, before being presented on the market.
Intense and vibrant ruby red color, the nose surprises for the great complexity that is able to give: fruity notes of pomegranate and strawberry blend with peaches in syrup and apricots, all framed by vanilla, dark chocolate and a pinch of nutmeg, without neglecting the deep side that is the very soul of Tignanello and that results in Mediterranean herbs, mint and vibrant balsamic nuances. The taste is also aristocratic and enveloping, characterized by velvety but vibrant tannins that are flanked by flavor and freshness. A wine already with an admirable balance, it confirms its potential also in the long, infinite persistence of bitter cocoa and roasted coffee. The rules would like it paired with fine dishes of important meats but, for a wine like this, there are no rules, except one: share it with the people you love!
