The Fantini Farnese winery offers a warm red Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the Casale Vecchio, a noble red wine that pleasantly welcomes every dish on the table, thanks to its balanced flavor.
It is produced with 100% Montepulciano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation initially takes place at a low temperature in order to increase the extraction of polyphenols, substances responsible for the red color of the wine, and then ends at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for about 6 months in barriques, before being bottled.
Clear ruby red color, very consistent with purple reflections. The olfactory examination reveals excellent intensity and good complexity, hints of ripe red fruit, amaretto, marzipan and sweet spices are recognized. The taste is dry and warm, soft with fine tannins. It is a wine of excellent flavor and good balance.
This red wine is perfect to accompany rich first courses, all courses based on meat and with medium and long aged cheeses.
