Product Details

The classic Costasera Amarone comes from authoritative knowledge and skills, which the Masi family can boast above all in the technique of drying and vinification of the grapes. The grapes used, once harvested, rest on bamboo racks during the winter thus concentrating the aromas.

When the fruits are considered ready they are pressed and alcoholic fermentation is started, carried out slowly and long at the low natural temperature of the winter months. The wine thus obtained is aged for 24 months for the most part in Slavonian oak barrels, the rest in barrique.

At the sight it is of a very intense ruby red, dense and oily. It offers a beautiful bouquet, rich and complex on the nose, made up of numerous flavors such as ripe berries, cooked plums, dried cherries and strawberries, tobacco, mocha, nutmeg, licorice and cloves. Sustained sip, characterized by a good tannic texture and long persistence.

It goes well with important and savory dishes, grilled or roasted red meats, game, savory and slightly spicy cheeses. Great after-meal wine.
