Liante from the Castello Monaci winery is a reference to the Levante wind that acts as a natural anti-mold. It is mainly produced with Negroamaro grapes and Malvasia Nera di Lecce grapes, native Apulian vines, harvested and vinified separately for their different ripening period: first Negroamaro, then Malvasia. The assembly takes place after malolactic fermentation, with the wine maturing partly in French barriques, partly in steel.

Deep ruby red color; on the nose, it has a very intense and complex aroma, with hints of marasca cherry jam, dried plum, chocolate and vanilla. In the mouth there is a vigorous, warm and harmonious flavor, with an elegant background of ripe fruit and spices, the finish is balsamic with a pleasant hint of bitter almond.

It goes very well with roasts and stewed meats. It is ideal with aged cheeses.
