The Chianti Classico of Marchese Antinori is composed of Sangiovese and other complementary varieties to pay homage to a historic label and a wine with a long tradition.

The grapes, after being destemmed and softly pressed, were introduced into stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature. Maceration lasted about 20 days, during which mechanical interventions were carried out aimed at the controlled extraction of aromas, structure and sweet tannins. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, carried out in stainless steel tanks for Sangiovese and in second and third passage barriques for Cabernet Sauvignon, the various lots were assembled and continued their aging in wood mainly in large barrels and partly in barrique. After a few months, it is bottled.

In the glass it has a ruby ​​red color with light garnet reflections. It has excellent notes of wild berries, which are well combined with the spicy ones of cinnamon and roasted coffee, with slight hints of tobacco. On the palate it is harmonious, enveloping, with silky tannins; long and persistent in the aftertaste, where the fruity and woody notes perceived on the nose return.

Ideal with savory main courses of meat, such as a leg of lamb with herbs or with pork with juniper, as well as with a mixed grill of meat. Perfect with the classic Florentine.
