The Rivera winery shows off in its selection of wines Il Falcone rosso Riserva, which is among the best known reds of the region, as it is a wise and important wine.
Falcone Riserva is produced with 70% Nero di Troia grapes, with the remainder being paid by other local red berried varieties, after vinification it matures for 14 months in French oak barrels and a further year in bottle; immediately enjoyable, it reveals a great prospect of aging.
Beautiful ruby with garnet reflections, it has a complex nose of dried rose, plum jam and sweet spices. On the palate it has well integrated structure and tannins, good balance and long spicy persistence.
Ideal red with cured meats and aged cheeses, with grilled, braised or overcooked red meats.
