The Primitivo di Manduria Riserva "Elegia" is the richer and more structured version proposed by the Produttori di Manduria winery of this classic Apulian wine. It is the most prestigious label produced from the oldest vines and aged for a long time in barrique.

Product Details

The "Elegia" Riserva is the Primitivo di Manduria that best represents the Apulian grape variety in the sign of richness and intensity. The training system is sapling and espalier, the harvest takes place in the second half of September.
Red vinification with thermoconditioning of the fermentation process (22-24 ° C), two weeks of maceration.
Finally the refinement takes place for 12 months in French oak barriques.

In the glass it has an intense ruby red color, the nose leaves an elegant perfume, with a strong fruity component based on wild blackberries, prunes, raspberries in jam and blueberries. Nutmeg, vanilla and cloves anticipate tones of aromatic herbs and leather. Puffs of toasted almond and withered violet petals flank hints of undergrowth.
In the mouth it has a certain bright acidity and dry tannins accompany it all the way, giving it a perfect closure. Persistent

Ideal to accompany with spiced boar morsels, excellent with roasts and braised meats, superb with lamb and aromatic baked potatoes.
