Founded in Reims in 1722, the maison Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin owes its fortune to the widow of François Clicquot (Nicole Ponsardin), a real entrepreneur who, at the young age of 27 years taking over the company, played a very important role in the success of champagne as an election drink in the circles of the upper middle class and the European courts. The success of his Brut is in the perfection of the assemblages, art in which the maison Clicquot Ponsardin knows well stand out and, in this Magnum format, gives us the best of itself thanks to the best refinement.

Straw yellow with golden reflections, it has fine and persistent perlage. The aroma is marked by initial notes of yeast and bread crust, followed by white flowers and dried fruit, almond candy and sweet spices on a mineral background. Particularly fresh and balanced on the palate, it has a good softness and a delicate savory trail. The finish is slightly almondy.

A whole meal, preferably with fish dishes, shellfish and seafood but you can safely combine with rustic cakes, potato gatêau and vegetable fries.
