Grana Padano is one of the best known and appreciated Protected Denomination of Origin cheeses both in Italy and abroad. Grana Padano is made from cow's milk and is a hard, cooked and slow-ripened cheese. The dough is grainy and crumbly, white or straw-colored and covered with a hard crust of a more intense color. The scent recalls milk and butter, the taste is intense and fragrant. The long seasoning and the high nutritional value make Grana Padano an easily digestible food and suitable for a balanced diet.

Its evident "grana" paste has an accentuated presence of lactate calcium crystals, a clear scale structure and an intense and homogeneous straw color.
