When the pharmacist monks of the Chartreuse Carthusian Abbey invented the Chartreuse Verte liqueur, they were probably searching for the elixir of life! A meticulous research work on the typology and curative properties of more than 130 different types of aromatic and medicinal plants, on their drying and distillation method, could, in fact, only be born inside a Certosa. Over 10 years of aging in oak and a distillation in seven secular copper stills, give life to Chartreuse Verte, a unique and inimitable liqueur; considered not only an excellent digestive but also a perfect ingredient for the preparation of multiple cocktails.

Bright green, it releases intense and characteristic scents of aromatic herbs, flowers, spices and a hint of honey. Soft, warm, smooth and moderately sweet, the finish is persistent with pleasing hints of bitterness.
